LGBTQ+ Sunday Services

Children and adults participate in a colorful event inside a venue decorated with rainbow flags and banners. Some children wear shirts with LOVE written on them, and a variety of outfits are seen. People are smiling and interacting.

St. Matthew’s UMC has held LGBTQIA+ Sunday Service since 2020. In past years, guest speakers and our own members shared the message that we must follow God’s will and Jesus’s teachings to love all people just as they are.

In 2025, LGBTQIA+ Sunday is May 18th at 10 am in the sanctuary. If you would like to help plan or participate in this service, please contact lgbtqadvocacy@stmatthews-bowie.org. All are invited.

Take a look at previous LGBTQIA+ Sunday:

A church holds an LGBTQIA+ Sunday service with rainbow decorations. People perform music, display butterfly crafts, and a speaker stands at a podium draped in a rainbow cloth. Slides and banners emphasize inclusion and acceptance.
