Santa Advent Project

A stack of wrapped Christmas gifts arranged in a tree shape beside text reading: “Give Hope and Love this Christmas to a Warm Night’s Family or Individual.” A red backpack icon appears in the lower left corner.

In November, you can be a Christmas Santa for a Prince George’s County Community Crisis Services Inc’s Warm Nights homeless family or individual. You prayerfully shop for and pack the Christmas treats and deliver them to the church’s designated location in early December, and SHEEP will deliver them. In addition to being a Christmas Santa, elves are needed to help collect the Christmas gifts and deliver them to Warm Nights.

Since 2023, St. Matthew’s UMC has teamed with St. Pius X Catholic Church to bless families and individuals in need during Advent. You can learn more about these past efforts in Circuit Rider January 2025, page 9, and Circuit Rider March 2024, page 8.
