In Fall 2025, SHEEP will be hosting a Bowie CROP Hunger Walk. CROP Hunger Walks help to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. We will gather with others in our community to fight hunger here and worldwide. Twenty-five percent of the funds raised assist in meeting food insecurity needs locally. We ask you to pledge an amount for walking, or if you cannot walk, you can sponsor someone or one of the dogs walking to raise money. Please help us recruit walkers and sponsors.
On the day of the CROP Hunger Walk, we will meet at the church and start for a 2.5-mile or 5-mile walk (your choice) to raise awareness and money for ending hunger. We will have water stations along both routes and one or two vehicles circulating the routes to pick up anyone who needs a ride. Afterward, we will meet in Fellowship Hall for ice cream sundaes. In addition to being a walker or sponsor, we need help organizing, coordinating, and managing the walk and ice cream sundaes social.
CROP Hunger Walk is a wonderful way for us to come together, call attention to the needs of our hungry sisters and brothers, and raise money to help.
