Music Ministry

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is for high school age and above. The Chancel Choir provides music for the traditional services in the sanctuary, as well as music for special services (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday). Guest instrumentalists occasionally perform with the choir.  Rehearsals: Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Music Room (September – June).

 

 

Gloria Ringers

They appear to be in a performance venue with plants visible to the side.The Gloria Ringers is a 5-octave handbell choir that performs monthly during Sunday worship, as well as special services during the church year. Guest instrumentalists occasionally perform with the choir.  The handbell choir is for interested ringers with a basic knowledge of music reading and the ability to count. Rehearsals: Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Music Room (September – June).

The Chancel Choir and Gloria Ringers perform September – June.  During their summer break (June – August), music is provided by volunteers and guest musicians.

We invite you to join in music at St. Matthew’s. There are many ways to get involved, from singing in the choir, to playing an instrument, to helping us with administrative support.
