St. Matthew’s unit of Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) is a sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation. Driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood, we work to improve the lives of women, children, and youth. We connect spiritual women to act boldly for justice and transform communities.
St. Matthew’s UWF offers programs in large group gatherings as well as in small group meetings called Circles. Circles meet monthly for fellowship and often choose a book/program for inspirational study. Women whose schedule does not permit participation in a circle may belong as general members of St. Matthew’s UWF. All women of St. Matthew’s and their friends are invited to participate in all group gatherings and any circle meetings.
The local unit at St. Matthew’s has a budget that is supported by individual pledges and gifts and by fund-raising activities. Fundraisers in the past have included craft shows, a used jewelry sale, a “Soup”er Bowl sale, etc.
Email us at [email protected] or contact any of our circle leaders. Read/Print our Information Booklet here. Visit uwfaith.org to learn more about Women in Faith.
