Adults

Adult Christian Formation includes education but is not limited to simply education.  All that we do at St. Matthew’s is to work together towards building the Kingdom here on earth.

This passage from the book of Hebrews is a favorite:

And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.
–Hebrews 10: 24-25

Through Christian Formation may we come together in many ways to spur one another on towards love and good deeds. May we meet together to encourage and lift one another up, through prayer and fellowship. May all that we do and say come from a place of love so that God’s love may be more visible in our community. May we journey learning more about grace, so that we may better extend grace to others and ourselves. This journey will involve a lot of listening to one another and what each of our journeys has looked like up to this point, but may we journey together.

One of the many ways to journey together is through learning more about your faith and the traditions that have brought us to a time such as this. I encourage you to get plugged into a group and take this next step.

Wherever you find yourself along the journey, know that you are loved and that you are welcomed at St. Matthew’s. Friends, may we journey together.
