CHILDREN & YOUTH
YOUTH GROUP REUNION IS HERE! – If you were ever involved as a youth or youth leader here at St. Matthew’s, we hope you will join us TODAY after the 11 a.m. service for lunch, fellowship, and games as we reunite and share stories of our time in youth group. Come just for lunch or stay for the afternoon, but you won’t want to miss this time with old friends.
NEW OPPORTUNITY TO PARTNER WITH TULIP GROVE – Tulip Grove has reached out to us to see if we have folks who would be willing to serve as Homework Helpers with their Homework Club on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Chelsea is looking forward to getting to know some of the kids of the Bowie Community and wants to know if you will join! You do not have to commit to every week but if you are interested in learning more, please email Chelsea at (firstname.lastname@example.org).
SENDING ST. MATTHEW’S LOVE TO OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS – We are a little bit late, but if you have a student in college, we would love to have their current mailing address. Different groups like to send our college students love from the congregation in the midst of stressful times of school, but we cannot do this without their contact information. If you have someone in college or graduate school, please update their information with Chelsea (email@example.com).
CHURCH CONFERENCE 2017 – St. Matthew’s annual meeting with the District Superintendent will be Tuesday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. All members of the Administrative Board, Council on Ministries, interested lay people and members of the congregation are invited to attend.
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS WREATH BOY SCOUT FUNDRAISER – After church today, the Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 1249 will be in Fellowship Hall selling their annual Christmas greenery including wreaths, door swags, center pieces, and garland. The greenery will be shipped from the West Coast and available to pick up on Sunday, December 3.
CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB will meet on Tuesday evening, November 21st at 7:30 p.m. in room 125. The book is “An Altar in the World”, by Barbara Brown Taylor. Join us for an enjoyable hour of discussion.
