Each Sunday in Advent there will be a new small packet for families to pick up to have devotion, conversation, and activities to prepare for the birth of Jesus. If you did not get one in Preschool Prayschool, Faith for Me, or Sunday School, check out the Welcome Desk and take home a small packet. Happy Advent!
PARENT’S NIGHT OUT – On December 16 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m., parents are invited to drop their children off for a few hours of games, lessons, Christmas decorating, dinner and a movie while you all have a few hours to yourself to get some shopping done or just breathe for a few minutes. Let Chelsea know if you plan on bringing your kids so we can have a rough estimate for dinner and volunteers.
YOUTH GROUP TONIGHT– 6:30-8:15PM – In the midst of busy Christmas preparations, come for a chill night of prayer, worship, and service. There will be prayer stations set up to reflect on the school year so far, and to respond in prayer for the time to come. As part of our worship, we will be responding through service and wrapping presents for the Stocking Project children that we adopted as a youth group.
ADVENT MEDITATION BOOKLETS AND CALENDARS are available in the narthex.
TODAY’S ADVENT COMMUNION OFFERING will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for 20 children of clients of the Bowie Food Pantry. Each child will receive pajamas, gloves & hats, a book/puzzle, and a gift or two from a wishlist submitted by their parents (e.g., doll, soccer ball, shoes). Thank you for your faithful and generous support of this annual mission!
