Dare to Believe – The members of the Annual Session of the Baltimore Conference have designated TODAY, JUNE 7 as “Dare to Believe in Baltimore City Sunday.” Each church in the Conference is being invited to take a special offering for the “Dare to Believe: Stronger Churches, Stronger Relationships, Stronger Communities” campaign for rebuilding and ministries of the United Methodist churches in the Sandtown-Winchester and Harlem Park communities of Baltimore. If you would like to contribute to this effort mark your checks “Stronger Baltimore” and place them in this Sunday’s offering or mail them to the Conference Treasurer, 11711 E. Market Place, Fulton, MD, 20759.
Fair Trade and Organic Sales will take place after services TODAY. We will be selling coffee, tea, chocolate and cocoa mix. We will not have olive oil. Please note that we CANNOT accept checks or credit cards this month – it will be a CASH ONLY sale. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Annual Church Wide Picnic NEXT Sunday, June 14, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Allen Pond Park in Bowie. We will provide hot dogs, condiments, sodas and ice. We invite you to bring a dish to share. This is a wonderful chance to meet and greet each other and spend quality time together before the summer takes us away in many different directions. Your friends are welcome also. If you park near the Ice Rink and walk the path directly across from the rink, you will find us in areas 5 and 6. For more information contact Karen Hastings. See you there!
MONDAY, JUNE 15, is the deadline for articles for the DOUBLE EDITION (July and August) of the Circuit Rider. If you wish to draw attention to projects, special needs and educational opportunities planned for the fall months, this is the time to create descriptive articles concerning these events. Please limit submissions to 300 words or less. E-mail your articles to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
