Last Day For Vacation Bible School Registration is TOMORROW, Monday, June 29 – G-Force Adventure Park: God’s Love in Action VBS will be held July 13 – 17 from 6:30 – 8:35 p.m. for children completing Preschool Three’s classes through Grade 5. The Mommy, Daddy and Me class is from 6:30-7:25 p.m. for children who were Age 2 by September 1, 2014 and a parent. Registration forms are on the green bulletin board in the church entry area or www.stmatthews-bowie.org. All are welcome!
Summer Teaching Opportunity – Adults and teens are invited to assist with the One Room Sunday School Class for Ages 3-12. An Adult lead teacher is needed for July 5, 19 and August 30. Sign up on the Christian Formation bulletin board in the main hallway or contact Rev. Kathy at email@example.com.

Join us for Sunday morning Garden Services beginning NEXT SUNDAY, July 5 – The services will be held at 7:30 a.m. in the Memory Garden (or Fellowship Hall when it rains) July 5 – August 30. Grab a chair, a bulletin, a cup of coffee and encounter God in the cool of the morning. Casual garb is suggested; lots of company is assured!

Bonhoeffer: The Life and Writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer – There will be a special presentation of the documentary film “Bonhoeffer” on Wednesday July 8 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in room 222, followed by four Monday night sessions from July 20 – August 10. Sessions will include: What is the Church?, Living in Christian Community, Religionless Christianity, and Come and Die.
In this video-based group Bible study, you will discover the major themes of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s writing and speaking and how he not only helped transform an entire faith community in Germany during World War II, but how his beliefs continue to impact the Christian faith of people throughout the world.
