Since the day of Thanksgiving falls in November, St. Matthew’s has made it a whole month of gratitude. For the first four Sundays they will highlight a group of community ‘heros’ to spotlight. Nov 1st – they will celebrate the ‘Healers’ among us- Doctors, Nurses, Med Techs, anyone involved in the healing process. Nov 8th is the day for ‘Defenders’, those who serve. They will recognize personnel who have put themselves in harm’s way to defend our country, currently or in the past. Nov 15th is for our ‘First Responders’ – the Police, Fire and EMS personnel who are the first on the scene when help is needed. The spec
ial services will conclude on Nov 22nd by recognizing our ‘Educators’ – anyone involved in the education field. Spotlighted personnel will be honored at both the 8:30 and 11:00 services with a reception following after each service.
