CHILDREN, FAMILY & YOUTH
YOUTH GROUP kicks off with a bang TONIGHT from 6:30-8:15 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream will be served; bring a dish to share for dinner if you can. This is a night for both parents and youth as we will go over the Fall Schedule, fill out medical forms (bring your health insurance cards), have a mini lesson and then compete against one another in some good ole fashion youth group games!
CONFIRMATION begins September 19th and will be the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6-8pm in Rm. 222. Confirmation is for all youth 7th grade and above. If you have not already been in contact with Chelsea but you are interested in joining this year, let her know!
This year we will be doing Confirmation a little bit differently. Starting in the Fall, the youth will meet once a month for class and then check in with their mentors every few months. Mentors play an important role in the process by allowing the youth to know they are loved and supported by the larger St. Matthew’s congregation. You don’t have to be an expert in the church, just someone who loves God and our youth. If you are willing to serve as a Confirmation mentor please contact Chelsea- email@example.com.
FALL SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES BEGIN TODAY! – There are learning opportunities for all age groups. Our Sunday classes meet from 9:45-10:45 a.m.and then there are adult education opportunities throughout the week. Not sure where to plug in? Connect with Chelsea or Isaac and we would love to talk about what class may be best for you!
GLORIA RINGERS will resume rehearsals on Monday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Choir Room.
