CHILDREN & YOUTH
YOUTH GROUP TONIGHT! – Youth will meet at its regular time of 6:30 p.m.- 8:15 p.m. There is a lot to be thankful for, and tonight we will look at some unconventional but awesome ways to express that thanks to those around us. It’s time to say thank you to some of the folks who often get overlooked and yet deserve a big word of thanks!
FAMILY BOWLING – If you and your family are joining us at Crofton Bowling Lanes next weekend, Chelsea needs to know by Tuesday, November 14 to make the reservation for lanes and to make sure we have enough people going. The time will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. and will cost $5/person which includes 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental.
SAVE THE DATE: The youth mission trip with Appalachia Service Project will be July 29- August 4. All youth who have graduated 8th grade (by summer) are invited to come. This trip is also open to college students. There will be an information meeting after Christmas, but if you know you are in, let Chelsea know now!
NEW OPPORTUNITY TO PARTNER WITH TULIP GROVE – Tulip Grove has reached out to us to see if we have folks who would be willing to serve as Homework Helpers with their Homework Club on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Chelsea is looking forward to getting to know some of the kids of the Bowie Community and wants to know if you will join! You do not have to commit to every week but if you are interested in learning more, please email Chelsea at (firstname.lastname@example.org).
- MATTHEW’S EEC FUNDRAISER NIGHT– Join us onMonday, November 13 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. for dinner at Bowie Town Center’s Panera Bread with a sandwich, soup or salad. Or enjoy freshly baked breads, bagels and pastries from the bakery. Panera will donate a portion of the proceeds to St. Matthew’s EEC. Thank you for your support!
CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB will meet on Tuesday evening, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. in room 125. The book is “An Altar in the World”, by Barbara Brown Taylor. Join us for an enjoyable hour of discussion.

CHRISTMAS PROJECT FOR BOWIE FOOD PANTRY: Soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, kickballs, hats, gloves, and scarfs are needed so that the clients of the Bowie Food Pantry can “shop” for Christmas gifts for their children. Please pick up a card or two on the table in the narthex and return items to the church unwrapped no later than Sunday, December 3. Please put them in the specially marked boxes in the narthex.
