HELP NEEDED! – This summer, with only one worship service in the Sanctuary, we are in need of an extra volunteer each week with Preschool Prayschool (2 yr. old-Kindergarten) and Faith for Me (1st-3rd grade) at the 10 a.m. service. Even if you can only volunteer for one Sunday all summer, please contact Chelsea at firstname.lastname@example.org!
PRAYERS FOR GUATEMALA – By the time you are reading this, the Mission Team will be in Guatemala preparing for a week of partnering in mission with Impacto Ministry. The team would especially ask that this week you pray for safety, good health, and a week of transformation, both for the people of Guatemala and our team! Thank you for all of the ways you have supported our trip thus far; now it is just time to PRAY and get ready to hear lots of stories when we return!
CHURCH ON THE MOVE! – Sunday, July 30th, we will have our regular garden service and then a short service at 8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. After this service, it will be time to take our worship on the GO! We will break up into various mission teams and have lots of projects, some requiring a little physical activity and others that just require you to come and sit as we assemble items in Fellowship Hall. There will be t-shirts on sale starting next week to offset the cost of supplies. Sign-up for projects begins TODAY in the Narthex after service!
The projects for Church on the Move include:
- Installing a fence at a home in Old Bowie.
- Making sandwiches and brown bag lunches for Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis.
- Delivering treats to our local police and fire stations.
- Cleaning up trash around Bowie High School.
- Passing out water bottles on Rt. 450.
- Cleaning up a yard for community member in Old Bowie.
- Singing and doing visits at Heartfields and Brookdale Senior Living.
