BOY SCOUTS CHRISTMAS GREENERY SALE – Boy Scout Troop 1249 will be selling beautiful, fragrant, evergreen wreaths, swags, garland and centerpieces. Orders will be taken after each service TODAY by Fellowship Hall. The greenery will be handmade to order and available for pick up on December 4 after both services. Payment is due when the order is placed. Call Matthew McGowan for more information.
Wesley Foundation Presentation – TODAY we will be thanking the educators in our community. We have guests from the Wesley Foundation (United Methodist campus ministry) College Park visiting. Students and Campus Pastor Brett Pinder will be sharing their experiences of continuing faith into college. Join us in Fellowship Hall at 9:45 a.m. as we celebrate education and begin a new relationship with the Wesley Foundation.
THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS – St. Matthew’s will again support families at the Bowie Food Pantry with holiday food baskets. Especially needed items are gravy, canned sweet potatoes, mini-marshmallows and cream of mushroom soup. Additional items are listed in the Circuit Rider. Please place donations for Thanksgiving baskets in the shopping cart in the coatroom by Sunday, November 13.
COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL – In just a few short weeks we will gather with family and friends for a Thanksgiving meal. Sunday, November 20 at 5:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, come and gather around the table with your church family for an evening of community and food (what more could you ask for!) Turkey, ham, drinks and paper products will be provided but bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish to share. Invite a friend and come feast on good food and time shared around a table.
INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 7:30 p.m. at Temple Solel located at 2901 Mitchellville Road in Bowie.
