Congregational Life
Operation Welcome Home Maryland Greeting Cards – This outreach program needs a new leader. Previously, after both services on the first Sunday of the month, materials have been made available to make cards to be included in goody bags for returning soldiers. If you appreciate the men and women in uniform who protect our freedoms and you enjoy working with people, heading up this effort is for you! The chairperson is not responsible for creativity, just for organizing the materials. Beverly Landymore has generously headed up the effort in the past, but is ready to turn the reins over to a new leader. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Beverly at bml7739@verizon.net.
Additional, Carol Walton, a volunteer with OWHMD, suggests making welcome cards is a great “at home” project for students during their summer vacation since they have fewer demands on their time. Cards can be made on the computer, although the handmade ones have more personality. If you are interested in doing this, please contact Carol Walton at 301-262-7146 or CarolWalton@aol.com. Please leave your name, phone number and the reason for your call and she will get back to you to explain the criteria for the cards.

For more information contact Kathy Wadsley at 301-262-1408 or kathy.stmatthews-bowie@verizon.net. Thanks in advance for volunteering!
