Please welcome Rev. Rick Miller, a retired United Methodist pastor to the pulpit this morning for the 8:30 and 11:00 worships.  Rick and his wife Carol, also a retired United Methodist pastor, have recently moved to Upper Marlboro after serving churches in Louisiana, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.  They are both looking forward to being active participants in the life of St. Matthew’s.

Children in Worship – We invite children ages 5 to 5th grade and their parents/guardians to attend Children in Worship event on August 28 from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. in room 126.  Rev.Kathy Wadsley will give children an orientation on how to participate in worship services  and ideas for parental assistance.  Come learn the “why” behind what we do in worship, good times to wiggle and snuggle, and age appropriate ways to be involved.  A parent or adult needs to attend with the child.  Everyone in the family is welcome to attend.

The fall schedule begins Sunday, September 11 with the following events:
