The United Methodist Men is sponsoring a free movie night for adults on Friday, November 8. The movie is “42”, which tells the story of Jackie Robinson and his signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers to become the first African-American player to break the baseball color barrier. There will be popcorn and drinks, and childcare available. The film will begin at 7 p.m., doors will open at 6:30 p.m. A discussion will be held afterwards about who Jackie Robinson was and the impact he had on the evolving civil rights movement, sports, culture and society in The United States.
