Missions

Living through the Faith Journey set forth by Jesus as stated in Matthew 25:34-40 and the words of John Wesley:

34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

St. Matthew’s is a church that focuses on our Christian mission, both in the local community and in the world. We invite you to join us on your personal faith journey in any of these worthwhile and rewarding areas of service to those in need.

Malaria Awareness Day is April 25, the opening day for St. Matthew’s yearly campaign. We are committed to sending 500 nets to Africa for 2011, and make up for our 2010 target shortfall by sending an additional 66 nets. WE CAN DO IT! Donations may be made payable to the church, or by marking  ”Fund Code #217″ (Nothing But Nets) on your giving envelopes. See the 2011 Nothing but Nets flyer for more details.

Next CROP Walk will be on October 2, 2011
