Family Ministry is for those families who have one or more children who are not yet in sixth grade. (Once children are in 6th grade they graduate into our Youth Ministry Program.) From picnics to ballgames and holiday parties, we will be hosting family-friendly activities throughout the year.
St. Matthew’s offers a Children’s Church during the 11:00 worship service for children ages 7 to 5th grade.
As you enter the Narthex, we have Quiet Activity bags (hanging on our “Bag Tree”) and Children’s Bulletins for our children. You may take a bag with you into the pew and keep any artwork you create – please return all other items to the bag and hang it back on our Bag Tree when you leave!

| Palm Sunday April 17, 2011 | Family Ministry Easter Egg Hunt – BYOB (Bring your own basket!) Join us in Fellowship Hall after the 11:00 service for bunny snacks and Easter crafts. Then we will all proceed to our Easter Egg Hunt outside on the playground. We will have a separate area for the littlest members of our congregation, so the whole family can participate! Bring your own Easter basket and wear your Sunday finest. We hope to see you there! (If it rains, we will have our Easter Egg hunt inside that day.) |
| Saturday May 21 | Spring Into Service We hope you will join us for our Second Annual Spring Into Service Event! This family friendly event will offer you the chance to serve the many needs of human beings, not only here in our church but in our community and the world at large. We will have several Family Friendly service opportunities and we hope you will take this time to come together as a family and live out God’s call to serve others! |
| Sunday June 12 | Annual Church Picnic Our Church Picnic will take place at Allen Pond again this year. We will meet around 12:30. The church will provide soft drinks, hot dogs and condiments. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share! We will have games to play and time to get to know all of our church family. Please join us! |
