Childrens Church

Children’s Church

St. Matthew’s offers a Children’s Church during the Sunday 11:00 a.m. service.  This is for children ages 7 to 5th grade who don’t always understand what is going on in an adult worship service.

During the last verse of the Hymn of Preparation, we invite those children to gather in the Narthex, at which point they will be escorted to Room 126 for the reading of the Scripture and a Children’s Sermon.  The readings will be the same and we will try to base our sermon on Rev. Ginger’s sermon for the day so that families have an opportunity to go home together and talk about what they learned.

Children’s Church will be every Sunday except Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month), which we encourage families to partake in together.

Please pick up your child(ren) in Room 126 at the end of the service.

We will post about our Children’s Church experience on our Family Ministry Blog each week – be sure to check it out and see what we did!
